  32. So what does that have to do with how USR implements their
  33. version of the V34 protocol? I was told by a Supra tech that
  34. USR is famous for "bending" the rules so that they can claim
  35. higher throughput between two USR modems. This "bending"
  36. also makes it more difficult for other modems to connect to
  37. the USRs.

  39. Ever since my FLASHROM was upgraded I have fewer instances
  40. of trouble while connecting to USR modems. On a side note, I
  41. never did like the "alarm clock" styling of the Sportsters.

  45. was told by someone who knows more than I. :-)
